Noodle vendor in Vietnam jailed for 5½ years
Vietnam News: Vietnam A noodle vendor has been sentenced to 5 and a half years in jail, just because he mocked a government official by mimicking a famous celebrity chef ‘Salt Bee’. The court found him guilty in this case under anti-state propaganda and sent him behind bars.
Vietnam is ruled by the Communist Party. She does not accept any kind of criticism against herself. The noodle vendor was accused of imitating celebrity chef ‘Salt Bee’ and targeted the top government official there, making fun of him. The name of this noodle vendor is Bui Tuan Lam. Lam was arrested last year.

In November 2021, a video of 39-year-old Lam went viral on social media. In this, he was seen imitating famous celebrity chef Salt Bee. Lam was arrested for criticizing the Vietnamese government. A top government official of Vietnam was eating food mixed with gold extract in a restaurant in London. Its video also went viral.
‘Salt Bee’ a famous celebrity chef
This hotel belonged to famous celebrity chef ‘Salt Bee’. ‘Salt B’ is a famous Turkish chef. His real name is Nusret Gokce. Lam taunted the government official for eating expensive food in that hotel. Along with this, he posted a video on social media imitating ‘Salt Bee’.
19 articles and 25 videos defaming the government
He was arrested last year on charges of discrediting the Vietnamese government and disseminating documents and information. Many such allegations have been leveled against the noodle vendor in the past as well. Police said that Lam had posted 19 articles and 25 videos on social media that tarnished the government’s image.
