Innumerable people have reached India these days and are eager to visit Ayodhya. Anyway, everyone has a desire to see the decorated procession of Ayodhya on 22nd January. Why not! After all Ram ji is sitting at his birth place. Just thinking about this makes every fiber of your being happy. Raja Ram’s exile was for a total of 14 years, but King Ram, who is established in the minds of Hindus, has been in exile from his place for the last 496 years. The Hindu mind remained constantly restless to establish Ram ji at his birthplace. For this, many wars took place, thousands of lives were lost and now finally Ram Lalla will return to his place of birth on Monday 22 January. This is a happy occasion for Hindus all over the world. Not only Hindus but people of other religions are also waiting for this opportunity.
Remember Lord Ram all the time
Thousands of heroes were born since the beginning of our civilization but among them only Ram became synonymous with God. Hey Ram, from the mouth of every Hindu in times of sorrow! Or Hi Ram! Only comes out. Just like the name of their God from the mouth of other religious followers. Even the name of God comes out of the mouth of those who may not even think of God. That is, those who are staunch atheists and agnostics. Marx himself, while explaining religion, has said that religion is the solace of suffering humanity. When a man is sad, religion removes him mentally from this sorrow. Marx has considered religion as opium because its concrete form is nothing, but its virtual form is so effective that the entire human society cannot remain alienated from God. The interesting thing here is that the adorable bodies of Hindus appear before them. This is the specialty of the name Ram!
Remember Lord Ram all the time
Munshi Prem Chand has written a sketch in the novel Godaan, when Rai Saheb and Khanna set out towards the forest, Khanna, as per his nature, started requesting Rai Saheb to earn money in the sugar mills. Because for him, going out towards the forest on hunting was like an excuse to expand his business. Then suddenly he got relief from the rustle of a bush and Torai Saheb became a gun. Tanli and Khanna hugged the bus while shouting ‘Hayaram!’. Munshiji writes that Khanna knew well that Kira would not run away by saying ‘Raamji’. But this is the habit of the children, hence, at the time of every crisis, only Ram comes to mind.
In times of crisis, calamity and objection, the sad mind calls out to God. Whether God does any miracle or not, there is a feeling in some corner of the mind that God will definitely help. Religion becomes more effective in times of crisis, because religion is the pitiful cry of humanity and it feels that God must be distracted by the pitiful cry. That is why compassion has a paramount place in every religion. Standing with the victim has been described as religion.
Christianity was born out of compassion and Islam has also expected from its followers that every Muslim should stand with the victim. That is why Zakat and charity are so important there. In Sikhism it has been said that the Sura praises those who fight for the cause of religion or when Guru Gobind Singh says that I will make a hawk fight with a bird, then somewhere behind this there is a feeling of giving importance to poor people and compassion. In Hindu religion, Shri Krishna says that Paritranaya Sadhunam Vinashaya Cha Dushkritam! That is, I am born again and again only for the benefit of the virtuous people and for the destruction of the wicked people. In Buddhism and Jainism, compassion is the basis of religion.
Ram is worshiped even by those who do not consider Dashrath-Sut as God. Kabir has clearly said, Dasharatha Sut Mor Ram Na Hoi! Still they only chant Ram-Ram. Tulsi’s Ram has a body but Kabir’s Ram has no shape. Still, whether the devotee is Kabirpanthi Nirguniya or worships Saguna God like Tulsi and Surdas, but Ramlala is definitely present in his mind. Nirgun says that Ram is in his every pore. Where are you looking for the opportunity, my dear, I am with you, this is the reason why man can express his feelings only to God, for the rest he has to say, O God, what should I say, I am not able to understand anything. That is, the urgent cry of the suffering heart is God, Ram.
Harjagharaam with the suffering people in Ramayana
In the Ramayana, Harjaraam is found standing with the deeply suffering people. He rescues the girl who had been turned into stone. He kills Chirakshas, who was suffering from childhood fever. He abdicates the throne of Ayodhya on his father’s orders. He does not show any of his rights. Tulsidas has written, Rajivlochana Ramchaletjibapakorabatau ki barber! I left my father’s kingdom like a traveler stopping for a moment under some shade and then moving on. He devotes his entire life to the sufferings. Be it eating the false plums of Sheshbari or hearing Tyukya’s ears. They are in search of Sita, still they fight with a warrior like Bali for the help of Sugriva and destroy her. That’s why Ram became God due to his sorrow.
The construction of Ram’s temple is not only a matter of pride for any community, religion or country, but it is a moment of happiness for the entire humanity. This is why in Canada, Mayer-Robberton and Patrick Brown are celebrating 22 January as a community festival.
