PM Narendra Modi in Japan: The G7 summit ended today in Hiroshima, Japan. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also reached here as a guest. The Prime Minister said that global peace, stability and prosperity is our common objective. The G7 countries particularly focused on the Ukraine crisis and discussed how to deal with the problems created by the war. The Prime Minister said that we have said from the beginning that dialogue and diplomacy is the only way.
Prime Minister Modi said that he does not consider the current situation as an issue of politics or economy. The Prime Minister called it an issue of humanity. Talking about the crises caused by wars across the world, the Prime Minister said that even developing countries are facing shortage of food, fuel and fertiliser. The Prime Minister appealed to all countries to respect the United Nations Charter, international laws and sovereignty.

PM Modi thanked Fumio Kishida
Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida after the end of the G7 summit. In a tweet, PM Modi thanked PM Kishida and the people of Japan for their warm welcome and hospitality during their visit and said that the visit was very good. He also told that he would soon leave for Papua New Guinea.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will participate in the third summit of Indo-Pacific Islands Co-operation to be held in Papua New Guinea on 22 May. This group includes 14 other countries of the Pacific Islands including India. India last organized a meeting of this group in 2015. Since then, after eight years, the summit of this group is being organized by Papua New Guinea.
