Bloody sports have been seen once again in Pakistan. A bloody clash took place between two tribes at Darra Adamkhel Kohat in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Police said that the conflict between these two tribes turned into a bloody game when they faced each other on the mountains. The Sunikhel and Akhorwal tribes belong to the Bulandari community. Those injured in the firing were immediately taken to the nearest hospital. Two people also died while being taken to the hospital. In this way, 16 people have died in the clash between the two groups. An FIR has been registered in this matter.

According to the Pakistani newspaper Dawn, the clash between Sunikhel and Akhorwal tribes started in the evening between the mountains. In the midst of the ongoing dispute regarding the mine, when the people of both the groups saw each other, they got angry. Both the tribes attacked each other with heavy weapons and killed people. The army had to be called in to control the situation. The army put pressure on the tribes and brought them down from the mountains and brought the situation under control.
Why did the violence happen?
Actually, there is a dispute between Sunikhel and Akhorwal tribes over four miles of land. There are coal mines on this land, which are occupied by the Akhorwal tribe. There was a long-standing dispute between the two tribes regarding the demarcation of the Bulandari hill. To remove the tension, a ‘Jirga’ (meeting to be held under Pashtunwali rules) was also called.

However, the local leaders of both the sides kept taking a tough stand, due to which the dispute could not be resolved. This is the reason that now there has been a bloody struggle between both the sides. The point to be noted here is that Darra Adamkhel Kohat is infamous for its gun markets. Dangerous weapons are available here at cheap prices. Because of this, both these tribes had weapons.
