Got bail from Islamabad High Court
If we bow down to the idol of fear, our future generations will only get humiliation. Countries where there is injustice and law of the jungle, those countries do not survive for long. Prohibition of arrest in all cases
After getting the release from the Supreme Court, the Islamabad High Court granted bail to Imran Khan. It also restrained the authorities from arresting him in all cases registered against him after May 9, and asked him to approach the Lahore High Court on May 15 for further relief. Khan further said that the JUI-F drama which is being done outside the Supreme Court is only for one purpose to intimidate the Chief Justice of Pakistan so that he does not give the verdict as per the constitution.
Shameless attack on Supreme Court
He said that Pakistan has already seen such brazen attack on the Supreme Court when PMLN goons physically assaulted it in 1997 and removed one of the most respected Chief Justices, Sajjad Ali Shah.
Violence after Imran’s arrest
Khan’s arrest by the Pakistan Rangers at the IHC compound last Tuesday sparked unrest in Pakistan that continued until Friday, leaving several dead and dozens of military and state installations destroyed by protesters. For the first time in the country’s history, protesters broke through barricades and entered the Army Headquarters (GHQ) in Rawalpindi and set fire to the corps commander’s house in Lahore.
