US White House: America considers India a vibrant democracy. Dismissing concerns about India’s democratic health, the White House said that anyone who visits Delhi can see for himself. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going for the White House official dinner this month. John Kirby, a White House official, said that America is not shy about giving any feedback about anyone, our concern can be with anyone in the world.
John Kirby is the Strategic Communications Co-ordinator in the National Security Council at the White House. In response to a question, he said that India is a vibrant democracy. Anyone who goes to Delhi, you know, can see this for himself. Kirby told that during PM Modi’s visit there will definitely be discussion on democratic institutions and democratic health.

We are not shy… What did Kirby say?
Journalists asked Kirby about India’s democratic health. He told that we are never shy. You can express your concerns in front of your friends. You don’t shy away from expressing concerns with a friend. We can express concern with anyone around the world. On friendship with India, John Kirby said that our friendship will be deeper, stronger and the partnership will grow.
India is a strong partner at many levels
Kirby said that India is a strong partner of America on many levels. US Defense Secretary Austin is also in India. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh will hold bilateral talks with him. Kirby said that Austin’s announcements are a means of establishing better relations with India. Kirby pointed out that of course, there is a lot of economic trade between our two countries. India is a member of the Pacific Quad and a key friend and partner in Indo-Pacific security.
