The government has already initiated action against the top leaders of the party, including Imran, for their involvement in the riots. The sword of arrest is also hanging on all of them. Courts are also being bypassed to avoid arrest. It is being said that the government has given the accused leaders an option to first condemn the violence on May 9 and then leave the party. On top of that, there is also the fear of the Army Act. It is believed that because of this everyone is leaving the party.
How many people left the party?
Add Firdaus Ashiq Awan, so far the number of people who have left PTI has gone up to 38. This includes from former ministers to top leaders. Not only this, but some were considered very close to Imran. But when the stick of the army and the government worked, they also left their captain’s side. The leaders who have left the party include names like Shireen Mazari, Fawad Chaudhary, Asad Umar, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, Jahangir Tareen, Aleem Khan, Akbar S. Babar, Hammad Azhar, Abdul Aleem Khan. Altogether 15 former ministers have left the party.
