Former Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan has got a big relief from the Islamabad High Court (IHC). The High Court has given relief to Imran Khan for leveling allegations against top officials and assaulting PML-N leader Mohsin Ranjha by workers of his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. in both cases Imran Khan The bail has been extended till June 8. Imran has also reached the Lahore High Court to stop the arrests in the cases registered during the violence on 9th May.
The hearing of the allegations against the top officials and the beating of the PML-N leader was held in the Islamabad High Court on Tuesday. During this, Barrister Gauhar Khan appeared in the court on behalf of Imran. He requested the court to exempt his client from personal appearance. The court approved his demand. Justice Aamer Farooq of the Islamabad High Court also questioned the arrest of Imran from the court premises. But he was told that the hearing of the case is going on in the Supreme Court.

Imran went to the High Court to avoid arrest
After the arrest of Imran Khan, there was violence in Pakistan on 9th May. Imran Khan was held responsible for the violence and action was demanded against him. This is the reason why Imran has now reached the Lahore High Court. He has told the court that on May 9 and after that, he should not be arrested for the cases registered against him. Imran has demanded from the court that his arrest be stayed.
When Imran reached the Islamabad High Court for appearance in the Alkadir Trust case, he was arrested from the court premises. Soon after this, his supporters created uproar across Pakistan.

In his petition, Imran said that the court should direct the Punjab Inspector General to present a fresh report of the FIR lodged in Lahore on May 9 and thereafter. The court was also requested to give protection to Imran from being arrested in new cases.
