Opposition to the pension bill in France has increased so much that the relatives of the protesting President Emmanuel Macron’s wife are being attacked. In fact, the first lady of France, Brigitte Macron, issued a statement condemning the attack on her nephew as a protest against her husband President Macron’s pension bill in the country.
Brigitte Macron called this attack cowardly. He said that I am in full solidarity with my family and am in constant touch with them since 11 pm on Tuesday night. He said that I have condemned such violence on many occasions before.
According to information received from media reports, Jean-Baptiste Trognex (30), a relative of Brigitte Macron, runs a chocolate shop in the northern French city of Amiens. He was on his way to his apartment above the shop when he was attacked. His father, Jean-Alexandre Trogneux, said the attackers also insulted the president, his wife and our family before fleeing. At the same time, the police said that while taking immediate action in connection with the attack, eight people have been arrested.
French President Emmanuel Macron said that violence against anyone is unacceptable. Along with this, he also said that the pension reform will continue. Let us tell you that the retirement age in France has been increased from 62 to 64 years. Emmanuel Macron said that he was attacked because he is our relative. I find this absolutely unacceptable.
