Chashma Nuclear Power Plant News: On one hand the neighboring country Pakistan is struggling with poverty, on the other hand it does not desist even without showing eyes to India. Now Pakistan has started a new trick to humiliate India. The neighboring country has started Chashma 5 (C-5) nuclear power project in Mianwali district of Punjab province with the help of China. The cost of the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant is $4.8 billion and its capacity is said to be 1200 MW. This plant is the fifth phase of the Chashma Nuclear Power Project.
Chashma Nuclear Power Plant (CHASNUPP-5) is the most expensive nuclear project of the neighboring country so far, at a time when Pakistan is going through inflation, economic crisis and political upheaval, China’s help to it, somewhere against India points to a conspiracy. After signing the MoU, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also expressed his gratitude to China.
The plant is very close to the border of Pakistan and India
The great thing is that the Chashma Nuclear Power Plant has the potential to make a big impact on India, because this plant is very close to the border of Pakistan and India. India’s concern is that China, along with Pakistan, can use this plant for military purposes. Apart from this, this plant can generate radioactive waste, which can pollute the environment and pose a health risk to the people living on the border.

Why is this plant so big a threat to India?
military- This plant can be used for military purposes. That is, in the coming time, China and Pakistan together can produce nuclear weapons here. If this happens then the tension on the border is sure to increase.
Panic- If the production of weapons increases, then terror from across the border will get strength. Updated weapons will reach the masterminds of terror sitting in Pakistan and they will carry out more terrorist incidents in India.
Environment- We all know that the environment is polluted due to the generation of radioactive waste. Along with health, the plant will also have a negative impact on agriculture and tourism.
