Houthi rebels are continuously targeting ships in the Red Sea. America and Britain are taking action against this. Meanwhile, UK Maritime Trade Operations and Security firm Ambre has been quoted as saying that a drone attack took place near Yemen in the Red Sea on Tuesday. A British cargo ship suffered minor damage in the attack. Houthi rebels have claimed to have carried out the attack.
UK Maritime Trade Operations said the attack occurred 57 nautical miles west of Hodeida, Yemen. In which the Barbados flagged ship suffered minor damage. However, there is no news of anyone being injured in this attack. Before the attack, a small ship was also near the cargo ship. Despite the incident, the ship managed to steady itself and continued its journey.

Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthi rebels claimed the attack. The rebels issued a statement saying they had carried out two separate attacks. A spokesperson said, “The first attack targeted the American ship Star Nasia, while the second attack targeted the British ship Morning Tide.”
America considered Houthis a global terrorist organization
Last month, America considered the Houthis a global terrorist organization. The terrorist group has targeted ships in the Red Sea over Israel’s war against Hamas in Gaza. Which America, European Union and other governments consider a terrorist organization. Global shipping has been greatly affected due to the attacks. Due to which companies have been forced to take long, expensive trips around Southern Africa. America and Britain have taken retaliatory action several times so far to secure sea lanes and to stop aggressive attacks. For this, both these countries have responded to the attacks by targeting Houthi places in Yemen.
