During the search operation on Monday, the jawans found bodies of 3 people including the pilot. One of these, Ranok Mukutuy, was the mother of four children. During the search operation which lasted for more than 15 days, the jawans faced a lot of trouble due to the presence of tall trees, heavy rains and wild animals in the forest.

Three helicopters were used during the operation. One flew across the forest, playing a recorded message from their grandmother to contact the children. In this message, children were forbidden to go to the forest.
