Maulvi Abdul Kabir News: Afghanistan In a special order, the Supreme Leader of the Taliban, Haibatullah Akhundzada, appointed Maulvi Abdul Kabir as the caretaker Prime Minister of the country. Afghanistan’s Khama Media has told in its reports that Maulvi Kabir will now lead the Taliban government till Akhundzada recovers. Haibatullah Akhundzada was elected leader of the Taliban in 2021 after Afghanistan regained control.
Who is Maulvi Abdul Kabir?
Maulvi Abdul Kabir, a member of the Jadran tribe in eastern Paktika province, was the governor of Nangarhar province from 1996 to 2001 during Taliban rule.
