This feature on YouTube is inspired by the Stories feature of other social media platforms Instagram and Snapchat. Although the story feature of YouTube was not so popular among the users.
YouTube Stories was first introduced in 2017 and was initially called Reels. This feature was for those users who had more than 10,000 subscribers. Now YouTube’s stories will also disappear after a time like Instagram.
