OpenAI ex-CEO Sam Altman And Apple ex-CEO Steve Jobs
Sam Altman created a stir across the world by launching Artificial Intelligence (AI) based ChatGPT in November 2022. Seeing his tremendous ability, everyone became his admirer. OpenAI had launched this AI chatbot. ChatGPT, released under the leadership of Sam Altman, took AI to new heights. However, now Sam had to lose his job. The company has announced the removal of Sam from the post of CEO in a blog post. A similar incident happened with Apple CEO Steve Jobs 38 years ago when he was fired from his job.
The sudden decision to remove Sam has shocked the tech world. Not only this, looking at the reasons given by OpenAI for removing SAM, I am reminded of Steve Jobs. Something similar happened to Steve Jobs four decades ago and is happening to Sam. In 1985, Apple’s board of directors similarly Steve Jobs Was shown the way out of the company.

Why did Apple fire Steve Jobs?
Initial speculation suggested that he was ousted due to his confrontational management style and inability to work well with others.
William Simon, co-author of “Icon: Steve Jobs, the Greatest Second Act in the History of Business,” claimed that Jobs “demanded too much of the people who worked for him. “That was part of his greatness…but he upset people too much.”
Steve Jobs returns to Apple
Jobs himself later admitted that he was “out of his mind” at that time. After leaving Apple, Jobs founded NeXT Computer, which was eventually purchased by Apple. In 1997, Jobs returned to the company as CEO. Jobs’ second tenure at Apple saw him take the company to new heights, achieving its greatest corporate success of all time.
Will Sam repeat the Jobs story?
On the contrary, Altman’s dismissal was due to a lack of transparency with the board of directors. The clear reason behind Sam’s ouster is still a secret. It remains to be seen what the future holds for Sam Altman, but if the Steve Jobs story is any indication, being fired from a company like OpenAI could lead to even greater success for Altman.
