The news agency Reuters has given information about the loss of jobs of people in Google. Remind that in January 2023, Google CEO Sundar Pichai had fired 12 thousand people from the job. After the recent layoffs, Waymo’s layoff figure has reached 209 this year. As per a Reuters report, the company has eliminated some engineering roles to focus on commercial success.
Retrenchment going on since January
Alphabet had said in January that the company is preparing to lay off 12,000 people and employees working in experimental projects may be affected by this decision of the company. Its health science unit Verily Life Sciences also laid off more than 200 employees, or about 15 percent of its workforce, in January.
