iPhone largest contract manufacturer Foxconn The way has been cleared for the plant to be built in Bengaluru. The Karnataka government has approved the iPhone manufacturing plant to be built with an investment of 8,000 crores. The State High Level Clearance Committee, headed by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, has given clearance to the mobile phone manufacturing unit of Hon Hi Technology Group (Foxconn). The government estimates that it will create around 50,000 jobs.
Foxconn’s new plant will be built on a 300-acre plot near Bangalore International Airport. This will be the company’s largest manufacturing plant in India, and is expected to create 1 lakh jobs in the next 10 years. Please tell that a high level delegation of Foxconn had come to Bengaluru.

MoU between Karnataka and Foxconn
A high-level delegation led by Young Liu, chairman of Foxconn, visited Bengaluru. During this an MoU was signed between the company and the state government. However, during the signing of the MoU, neither the investment figures were known nor it was known that how many new jobs would be created by the construction of this plant.
India’s growing role
Foxconn is very keen on increasing manufacturing in India. There is a huge demand for iPhone in the country’s domestic smartphone market. Apart from this, the iPhone made in India is also exported to the international market. Apart from China, India is also playing a strong role in the global supply chain. All these are reasons that show how important India can be for iPhone and Foxconn.
₹75,000 crore proposal
Currently Foxconn has manufacturing units in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Now the name of Bangalore will also be included in this list. The High Level Committee has approved a total of Rs 75,394 crore proposals including 10 new, 5 expanded and 3 additional investments. According to media reports, the state government believes that this will generate 77,606 new jobs.
