The T20 World Cup was organized for the first time in 2007. Under the captaincy of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, India won the World Cup title for the first time. After 4 years, India also won the ODI World Cup in 2011, but from here India’s drought started. After this 4 T20 World Cups and 2 ODI World Cups went out, but India’s bag remained empty. Now there is a lot of hope from the T20 World Cup in Australia and Indian captain Rohit Sharma believes that a lot has to be done in the right way to achieve success.
India’s first match in the T20 World Cup is to be held in Melbourne on 23 October against Pakistan. Earlier, Team India was in Brisbane for the warm-up match. Here in an interview, Indian captain Rohit expressed his opinion about the expectations and things necessary for success in the World Cup. This is India’s first ICC tournament under Rohit’s captaincy and in such a situation, he would like to make it special.
Don’t care about semi-finals or finals
BCCI posted the video of Rohit’s interview on its website. On the issue of winning the title in the tournament, Rohit said,
Our aim and vision is to win the World Cup but we also know that we have to do a lot of things right to get there. That’s why it is important for us to focus on one thing at a time. We have to focus on every team that we will face. At the same time, it is also important that we do not think about semi-finals or finals.

Training Camp Helpful in Perth
Not only the World Cup, but India has not won any ICC title for a long time. Team India won the previous championship in the form of Champions Trophy in 2013. In such a situation, Team India does not want to leave any stone unturned this time and due to this, the Indian team started preparations by camping in Australia from 7 October itself.
After a week’s preparation in Perth, the Indian team came to Brisbane. Regarding this, Rohit said, “Whenever you come for the World Cup, it is a wonderful feeling. Our training camp in Perth was great. We recently won two series on home soil, but in Australia the challenge will be quite different. The conditions will be challenging but there is a reason for us to come here early.
