IND vs ENG 2nd Test: India won the second match of the five-Test series against England in Visakhapatnam. The host team has made a great comeback after a 28-run defeat in the first Test in Hyderabad. After the match, everyone’s attention was on Yashasvi Jaiswal with the bat and Jasprit Bumrah with the ball, among the players who performed brilliantly. But, India coach Rahul Dravid was also asked about the condition of wicketkeeper Ishan Kishan.

When asked about Ishan Kishan, Dravid said that “he has to start playing domestic cricket to be considered for selection and he is in touch with him.” With the T20 World Cup to be held in June, Kishan will need to get back into action as soon as possible if he wants to cement his place.
Kishan had requested rest from India’s tour of South Africa last month citing mental fatigue. The left-handed batsman has been playing regularly in the limited overs formats, but has remained largely on the bench for Test matches. He was later seen partying in Dubai, following which reports claimed that the team management was angry with him and he was dropped from the T20I squad for the Afghanistan series.

India coach Rahul Dravid was adamant that it was not a disciplinary action, insisting that the management had supported Kishan. He was rumored to play for Jharkhand in the ongoing Ranji Trophy, but has not made himself available yet.
