New Delhi: Should Virat Kohli be made Test captain again? Why would you ask this question? Why should Team India look back again? So the answer lies in the present condition of the Indian cricket team. After Team India’s defeat in WTC Final, questions are being raised on Rohit Sharma’s Test captaincy? But the point is that if not Rohit then who? There are many options in white ball cricket, but only Virat is seen in red ball cricket.
Rohit Sharma was captaining SENA countries for the first time through the WTC final. But, he flopped miserably on this front. His decisions related to team selection, decisions related to changes in bowling and his field placement were all questioned. Now there is a report that the West Indies tour could be the last round of his Test captaincy.

If not Rohit Sharma then there is Virat Kohli, isn’t it?
After the West Indies tour, Team India has to play the next Test series with South Africa in December. The big question before the BCCI and the team selectors is that if they remove Rohit Sharma from the Test captaincy, then who will be made the captain? In response, the whole needle gets stuck on Virat Kohli.
Where do Team India have Test captaincy options?
However, KL Rahul, Jaspreet Bumrah, Rishabh Pant have played the role of Test captaincy from time to time. But at the moment these three are out of the team for a long time. With Rahul and Bumrah, the problem of fitness also persists. While Pant can be a good option but everything depends on how he plays after his return?
The option of Test captain is also open with the return of Rahane, under whose captaincy India played 6 Tests and won all. But, he still has the challenge of cementing his place in Team India. Above age is also 35 years.
Virat Kohli is the only and everyone’s choice!
Now that there are no options in red ball at the moment, as is seen in white ball cricket, it is obvious that in that case BCCI can again think of giving Virat Kohli the command of the team. From Ravi Shastri to England’s Oen Morgan have also advocated this. Even the cricket fans are agreeing about it.
@BCCI @ICC
We want Virat Kohli as captain again. Rohit Sharma has been flop in batting better give some space he was handling so much pressure with captain losing batting. https://t.co/tiy9ULqWG2— vamsieee speaks (@vamsiRebel97) June 12, 2023
I am saying again that Indian cricket team will never get a captain like Virat Kohli again. BCCI has no other options now except to regret.#KingKohli #ViratKohli𓃵 #WTCFinal #WTCFinal2023 #WTC23Final #INDvsAUS

Virat Kohli’s figures are also testifying
In everyone’s opinion ranging from experts to fans, Virat Kohli is eligible to become Test captain again, so a big reason for that is his past performance in this role. India has won 58.82 percent of matches under Virat Kohli’s Test captaincy. In this, there are 24 Test wins on home ground and 15 Test wins away from home. At the same time, India has lost 16 Test matches under the captaincy of Kohli.
Everything else is fine, will Virat Kohli be ready?
Clearly the record is not bad. But, the big question is, will Virat Kohli be ready again to handle Team India’s door in Tests? Will King Kohli agree to sit on the position he left last year? If the answer is yes, then it does not seem that the difficulty of Team India will increase. But if the answer is no, then the question arising in front of the Indian team will be even deeper.
