A major accident happened with Australian opener Usman Khawaja in Adelaide. Before Australia’s victory, the ball hit his helmet and injured his jaw. The accident happened when Australia was just one run away from victory and during this time Shamar Joseph, who was playing his debut match, bowled a sharp bouncer to Usman. Usman Khawaja could not understand this ball at all and his jaw got hurt. After this Usman Khawaja was taken out of the field. Let us tell you that blood also came out of Khwaja’s mouth.
There is no fracture in the jaw.
Usman Khawaja was seen by the doctors and after examination it was found that his jaw was not injured. However, he is still kept under observation regarding concussion. Regarding Khawaja, Australian captain Cummins has informed that Khawaja is fine now but the medical staff is monitoring him. Khwaja himself has informed about his correctness through an Instagram post. It is being told that Usman Khawaja may be out of the second test against West Indies. Khawaja played innings of 45 and 9 runs in the Adelaide Test.

Australia’s victory in Adelaide
The biggest contribution to Australia’s one-sided victory in Adelaide was made by Travis Head and Josh Hazlewood. Head scored a brilliant hundred in the first innings. The fast bowlers were getting more help on the Adelaide pitch but despite this Head scored 119 runs. West Indies’ first innings was limited to 188 runs and the second innings was reduced to just 120 runs. Hazlewood took 4 wickets in the first innings and 5 wickets in the second innings. The next match of the series will be held on 25 January at Gabba, Brisbane.
