Women cricketers accuse coach of sexual harassment
Women cricketers have made serious allegations of sexual harassment against a cricket coach. An England coach named David Taylor is facing a sexual harassment case. Taylor has already been accused of sexual assault. David Taylor, of Upland Crescent in Truro, is on trial for six sexual assaults on three alleged victims over the course of eight years. David Taylor has been the coach of county women’s cricket teams.
Women cricketers alleged that the coach used to touch them here and there. After a match against Camborne in the county, the accused coach came from behind and kissed her on the neck when the victim was standing in the pavilion in anger after being dismissed. After some time, came again and grabbed the waist, where many people including the family of the accused coach Taylor were present. It was claimed on behalf of the victim woman cricketer that lewd sexual remarks were also made on her during this period.
The second complainant said that at the end of the season, when she was packing up and getting ready to leave after a season, Taylor invited her into his car “to talk about next season” and suddenly grabbed her face and kissed her. The female cricketer was 20 years old and David Taylor was 24 years older than her. The female cricketer was shocked by the sexual assault on her.
Taylor later crossed the line with the third complainant, walking up to the player in the car park and starting kissing him. This complainant also alleged a third offence, in which Taylor came up to him on the pitch and put his hand over his shorts over his private parts, after which all the players came together and filed a complaint against him.
