Dindigul: Ravichandran Ashwin did not get a place in Team India’s playing-11 in the final of the ICC World Test Championship. There was a lot of criticism of this decision of Team India. Ashwin is playing in the Tamil Nadu Premier League after returning from England leaving all these things behind. This off-spinner has shown such a view of his fielding in this league on Wednesday that the spectators were surprised. Ashwin is the captain of Dindigul Dragons in this league and this team defeated Chepauk Super Gillies by just one run in a thrilling match.
Batting first, Dindigul had scored 170 runs losing nine wickets. After this Chepauk fought to win the match but missed by one run. After playing full 20 overs, this team could score only 169 runs losing nine wickets.

The 14th over of Chepauk’s innings was going on. Varun Chakraborty was bowling for Dindigul. Batsman Sanjay Yadav was in front. Varun bowled the first ball in the line of off stump. Sanjay tried to hit it over deep midwicket but the ball took the edge of his bat and went into the air. Ashwin ran from short midwicket to mid-on, dived forward and Excellent catch taken. This was Chepauk’s fourth wicket. Sanjay scored three runs in just four balls. Sanjay’s wicket fell on a total score of 102.

Baba Aparajit scored a half-century from Chepauk but he could not win the team. He faced 40 balls and scored 74 runs with the help of seven sixes and two fours. The captain of this team, Narayan Jagdishan played an inning of 37 runs in 36 balls.

Team win, Ashwin empty handed
Dindigul scored a good score on the basis of Aditya Ganesh’s 44 and Subodh Bhati’s 31 runs. Chepauk’s team could not achieve this goal. Ashwin won Dindigul under his captaincy, but he could neither contribute to the team’s victory with the bat nor the ball. Ashwin was dismissed after scoring one run off six balls.
