These days qualifiers for the World Cup 2023 are being played in Zimbabwe. In which West Indies is also playing. On the other hand, whichever team qualifies in this will be seen playing in the ODI World 2023 to be held in India. In such a situation, now the big question is arising that whether the West Indies players playing the qualifiers will be able to be a part of the Test series from India or not. Let us tell you that the qualifiers are going to be played till July 9, while India has to play the first Test match from July 12. An official of Cricket West Indies has given a statement regarding this.
A Cricket West Indies official told Inside Sport, “The final of the Cricket World Cup qualifier is meaningless, so our Test players will not take part in it, but first we have to make sure that we reach the final.” Let us tell you that Jason Holder, Kyle Mayers, Roston Chase and Alzarri Joseph are part of the team in the World Cup qualifiers being played in Zimbabwe.
