Asia Cup 2023 Team India Practice: The preparations for the Asia Cup 2023 have officially begun for Team India. Team India stars Virat Kohli, Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya have started reaching NCA in Bangalore today.

India’s training camp for the Asia Cup begins on Thursday with Rahul Dravid and his co-team taking charge in Bengaluru. Players like Sanju Samson, Prasidh Krishna and Jasprit Bumrah will feature in the next three days after returning from Ireland. The training camp for the Asia Cup 2023 will continue till August 29.
Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli were rested after the conclusion of IND vs WI ODI. While the rest went to Dublin for the India vs Ireland series. Whereas, other stars like Hardik Pandya and Suryakumar Yadav are back home after playing T20 series on Caribbean soil.

Only the team members will participate in the camp as it is only for the Asia Cup 2023 squad. Meanwhile, the main focus of the Asia Cup 2023 camp will be on match simulation. Since, the team has not performed as a unit in ODIs since July 2022. The entire team will now take part in several match simulations to prepare for the slow pitches in Kandy and Colombo.
Special roles to be played by the team members will also be emphasized. For example, Ishan Kishan could be in talks to open for India against Pakistan. However, he still has no clear role. The change of Virat Kohli’s number can also be discussed. However, things will become clear only during the 6-day Asia Cup 2023 camp under the direction of Rahul Dravid and Vikram Rathour.
