Tamim Iqbal withdraws decision to retire from international cricket

Tamim Iqbal announced his sudden retirement from international cricket on Thursday. But now despite retirement (Tamim Iqbal Retirement), at the behest of Bangladesh Cricket Board President Nazmul Hasan, Tamim has withdrawn his decision to retire and will play for Bangladesh in the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 in India.

“I told his brother Nafees that he should at least lead the team in this series (against Afghanistan),” Hasan was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo. He said, “We will discuss things after the series. Then I had said that a veteran cricketer should not take such a decision. He is an important member of the team. Nafees said he sent the message, but there was no response. I will have to wait for his response, I hope he will contact me.
