New Delhi: India’s young batsman Shubman Gill played a brilliant inning on Monday and scored his first century in the IPL. Gill scored this century in IPL-2023 against Sunrisers Hyderabad at Narendra Modi Stadium. Gill was waiting for this century for a long time. On this ground, he missed out on scoring a century on May 7 and then on this ground, he made up for this shortcoming. After this century, Gill has told in gestures that what is his destination.
Gill played an inning of 101 runs in 58 balls against Hyderabad. He hit 13 fours and a six in this innings. In this match, Gujarat defeated Hyderabad by 34 runs and with this made a place in the playoffs. Gujarat has become the first team to reach the playoffs in IPL-2023.

Gill wants to shine in the sky
Gill has shared a video on his Instagram handle after this century. In this video he is looking towards the sky. There are stars in the sky and while looking at them, Gill keeps his hand on his chin and walks away thinking something. Through this video, Gill has told that his destination is to shine on the world and he aspires to become a star cricketer. Just like the way his idols Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli achieved the status of star cricketers and made the world go crazy for them.
Gill is the future of India
After seeing the kind of game Gill has shown in recent times, he is being called the future star of India. Since December last year, this batsman is in a different colour. In December, Gill scored a century against Bangladesh, which was his first century in Tests. Apart from this, he also scored a double century in ODIs and also scored a century in T20 International.
He was waiting for his first IPL century which he completed against Hyderabad on Monday. Earlier he came close to a century in IPL but could not complete it. Last season he scored an inning of 96 runs against Punjab Kings and this season also he scored an unbeaten 94 against Lucknow Super Giants.
