Oval’s pitch not fully prepared – Shardul Thakur
According to the Indian all-rounder, last time i.e. in the 2021 WTC Final, as the game progressed, teams were using rollers to keep the pitch flat. But this time nothing like that is visible. It looks like the pitch is not completely ready for the match. As we saw on the second day, the mood of the pitch on the third day showed a slight change.
He said, there was a slight change in the pitch on the second day as well. The ball was seen taking very unusual bounce, while some balls were staying very low. Australian bowlers were also looking more impressive from one end only. The batsmen were in a dilemma whether to play or leave the ball. But on most occasions he had to play the ball.
Added 109 runs with Rahane for the 7th wicket
Please tell that Shardul Thakur scored 51 runs for India in the first innings of WTC Final. Apart from this, he also shared a 109-run partnership for the 7th wicket with Ajinkya Rahane. The result of the same partnership is that Team India not only avoided the follow-on, but its score also reached 296 runs in the first innings. Apart from Shardul, Rahane scored 89 runs. The great thing is that this is also the third consecutive half-century of Shardul Thakur at the Oval.
