Afghanistan cricket team’s excellent performance continues in the ODI World Cup-2023. This team batted stormily in the match being played against Australia at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and scored a strong score against the five-time champions. In this match, Afghanistan batted first and scored 291 runs losing five wickets. Ibrahim Zadran of Afghanistan scored a century in this match. This is the first century scored by an Afghanistan player in the ODI World Cup. But even after scoring a century, Rashid Khan insulted Zadran in the middle of the field.
In this match, Zadran scored unbeaten 129 runs in 143 balls with the help of eight fours and three sixes. His innings included eight fours and three sixes. Before Zadran, no other player from Afghanistan could score a century in the World Cup. But Zadran did this.
Strike was not given
Zadran was playing stormy innings and scoring runs fast, but still Rashid Khan did not trust him. The last over of Afghanistan’s innings was going on and Mitchell Starc was bowling. Rashid hit a four on the first ball. After this, Rashid Khan had a chance to score a run on the second ball. He could have taken one run and given the strike set to batsman Zadran but he refused. Rashid had more confidence in himself. That’s why he kept the strike with himself. He also justified this decision and hit a six on the next ball. Then no runs came on the fourth ball. Rashid again hit a six on the fifth ball. A total of 16 runs came in this over. Rashid played an unbeaten inning of 35 runs in 18 balls. This batsman hit three sixes and two fours in his innings.
Rashid’s amazing shots
Rashid played many amazing shots in this match. He hit shots like tennis in this match. The fifth ball was bowled by Starc, a bouncer on which Rashid bent and played the shot like tennis. However, Rashid has not batted like this for the first time nor has he played such shots for the first time. Rashid has been seen playing snack shots many times in IPL. This is his famous shot.
