New Delhi: IPL 2023 is over. But, one big question. Was Rashid Khan playing for Gujarat Titans while battling pain? This question has arisen after the development that happened before the start of the ODI series against Sri Lanka. Actually, Rashid Khan is not playing in the first two ODIs against Sri Lanka. The reason behind this is his latest injury. There is news that the leg-spinner of Afghanistan is struggling with a lower-back injury.
Now the question is when did Rashid Khan get this injury? He was playing till the final match of IPL 2023, then suddenly after his selection in the Afghanistan cricket team, how did the news of his injury come? Rashid Khan out of first two ODIs due to injury

In the absence of Rashid Khan, the entire responsibility of spin bowling of the Afghan team will be on Mohammad Nabi, Mujeeb-ur-Rehman and Noor Ahmed. Please tell that Afghanistan has selected a 15-member team for the ODI series against Sri Lanka, which will be led by Hasmatullah Shahidi.
Rashid took 27 wickets in IPL 2023
As far as Rashid Khan is concerned, his performance in IPL 2023 was amazing. He was the second most successful bowler not only of Gujarat Titans but of the entire IPL 16. He took a total of 27 wickets in his name. Like him, Noor Ahmed was also successful in leaving his mark. Both Noor and Rashid were part of the Gujarat Titans team. Noor took 16 wickets in 13 matches of the tournament. In International Cricket, Noor Ahmed has just 1 ODI and 1 T20I experience for Afghanistan.
Afghanistan-Sri Lanka ODI series from June 2
The ODI series between Afghanistan and Sri Lanka is starting from 2 June. The second match of this series will be on June 4. While June 7 will be the third and last ODI, in which Rashid Khan is likely to return. Afghanistan also has to play a Test match with Bangladesh a week after the end of this series.
