The PM consoled Umesh Yadav by writing a letter to him broken by his father’s death. The PM wrote in the letter that it was sad to know about your father. The PM further wrote in the letter that your father’s sacrifice and dedication played a big role in your journey so far in the world of cricket. He expressed confidence in your every decision and stood by you. The Indian bowler also thanked PM Modi for giving him courage.

There was no effect of treatment
According to media reports, Umesh’s father was ill for the last few months and was undergoing treatment in Nagpur, but the family had brought him home due to lack of effect from the treatment.
