PAK vs SL: Pakistan fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah may be out of Asia Cup 2023.
The Super 4 matches of Asia Cup are continuing, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh in the first match while in the second match it had to face a crushing defeat at the hands of Team India. Now Pakistan’s third match is with Sri Lanka which is like a semi-final for them but before the match, a bad news is coming for Babar Azam and team. Fast bowlers Naseem Shah and Haris Rauf may be out of the tournament due to injury.
Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah were injured in the match against India. According to ESPN report, Haris and Naseem will not play in the match against Sri Lanka on Thursday. If Pakistan defeats Sri Lanka and enters the finals, then doubts will remain over the playing of these two players. Haris Rauf is the highest wicket-taker in Asia Cup 2023, he suffered an injury in the match against India due to which he did not play on the reserve day. However, no tear was found in the MRI. He is under the supervision of the medical team.
Naseem Shah is also injured, he is the main bowler of Pakistan team. He along with Shaheen Afridi handles the opening overs for the team and troubles the batsmen. While fielding, Naseem suffered a shoulder injury in the 49th over. Along with Haris, Naseem also could not come out to bat for Pakistan, due to which Pakistan was declared all out with 8 wickets and India won by 218 runs.

If both the bowlers do not play against Sri Lanka then there will be a lot of difficulties for the Pakistan cricket team. It will be difficult for Babar Azam and team to beat Sri Lanka at home, and this match will be like a semi-final for Pakistan (if India beats Sri Lanka).
