Paddy Upton: The BCCI has appointed Paddy Upton as the mental conditioning coach of India till the T20 World Cup 2022 to be played in October-November.
Paddy Upton also worked with Team India, captained by MS Dhoni, he was part of the coaching staff of the Indian team in the 2011 World Cup winning team. He was also with Team India at that time when the current Team India coach used to play Rahul Dravid (Indian Cricket Team).
Rahul Dravid and Paddy Upton have also worked together for IPL teams. Both have worked together in the coaching staff of Rajasthan Royals and Delhi Daredevils (now Delhi Capitals).
Paddy was part of the coaching staff with Gary Kirsten when he was the head coach of the Indian team. The two worked together for about 3 years for Team India, when the Indian team reached the top of the ICC Test rankings for the first time in 2009.
