They will face the Netherlands on 6 October in their opening match. The much-awaited match between Pakistan and India will take place on October 14 in Ahmedabad. Ahead of the World Cup 2023, Pakistan will play its first official practice match against New Zealand on September 29. Then on October 3, the Men in Green will play against Australia in the second practice match. Both the matches will be played at Uppal Stadium in Hyderabad.
Pakistan cricket team had come as the favorite in the Asia Cup. But they had to face a humiliating defeat against India and finally lost against Sri Lanka. Senior players like Shadab Khan and Fakhar Zaman performed poorly.
