No place for Wriddhiman Saha in Test, who will get place among Upendra, Ishan Kishan and KS Bharat?

The Indian team has been facing a lot of problems ever since Rishabh Pant got injured in a car accident. While KL Rahul is also running out of the injury team. KS Bharath has been wicketkeeping in Test matches for India in the recent past but he has so far failed with the bat. Whereas now the inclusion of Wriddhiman Saha in the test is not considered to be certain.

A senior BCCI official explained to InsideSport, “We have to look beyond Riddhi. There is no doubt that he is a better batsman and a better keeper. But he is 38 years old. That may just be a stop-gap solution which we don’t want. We have to develop young talents like Ishaan, Bharat and Upendra. They will fail more than others but they are the future.”

Significantly, for some time now, KS Bharat is being given a continuous opportunity in the Indian Test team. If we talk about his wicketkeeping performance, he has been excellent so far. But during this he has looked unsuccessful as a batsman. KS Bharat has scored only 129 runs in 8 innings for the Indian team at an average of 18.42, which is a poor performance for a wicket-keeper batsman.
