New Delhi: The recently concluded World Women’s Boxing Championship was a great one for India. India won four gold medals in this championship. India’s Neetu Ghanghas, Sweety Boora, Lovlina Borgohain and Nikhat Zareen won gold medals. Nikhat created history by winning gold in this championship held in the national capital. This is his second consecutive gold medal in this tournament. Earlier, Nikhat had won gold in the World Championship played in Istanbul. She is only the second Indian to win two gold medals in this championship. After this historic success, Nikhat has expressed her special wish.
Apart from Nikhat, veteran boxer Mary Kom has given India more than one gold medal in the World Championships. Mary Kom has won six gold medals in this championship. Nikhat has won this medal this time in the 50 kg weight category.

Desire for biryani after victory
Nikhat spoke to TV9’s English website News9 after winning the gold medal and told about his special wish. When Nikhat was asked if she got time to rest after winning the gold medal? On this, Nikhat said that she is happy that she has won two gold medals in the World Championships twice, but she did not get a chance to rest after that because she is going to events and giving interviews. She said that she would get rest when she would go to her house and have biryani in front of her and that day she would rest at her house.
Nikhat also said that he is very happy to save his title, especially in the 50 kg weight category as it is an Olympic weight category. She said that she was unseeded in this world championship and had to play six bouts in a tournament for the first time in her boxing career.

was nervous the first day
Nikhat said that she was very nervous when she played her first match in this championship, but seeing the support of the people in her house encouraged her and she was able to do well. Nikhat’s mother had come to see her final match for the first time. Nikhat said that her mother doesn’t like that she gets hurt and that’s why she rarely watches her matches live.
