Muttiah Muralitharan warned Team India before the World Cup, know what he said
Former Sri Lankan player Muttiah Muralitharan has warned Team India before the ICC ODI World Cup 2023. Apart from this, he has also made a claim regarding captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. Actually, World Cup 2023 is to be played in India from 5 October to 19 November. But the playing eleven of Team India has not been decided yet. However, Muralitharan has strictly forbidden Team India from making this mistake in the World Cup. Let us know what he has said.
Regarding Team India’s playing eleven in the World Cup, Muttiah Muralitharan said, “You have to see what is the right combination. If you have Ravindra Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav in the playing eleven in the World Cup, it will be better for you. Apart from this, he said about Ashwin and Chahal that “I do not know about the form of Ashwin and Chahal. You cannot combine T20 form and ODI form together. Because both the formats are quite different. However, compared to UG Chahal, Kuldeep and Akshar have done very well. Apart from this, even domestic cricket is not a game for Chahal and in such a situation how can he be selected.
Muralitharan made a claim about Virat-Rohit
Talking further about Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, Muttiah Muralitharan said, “There is still a lot of cricket left in Virat and Rohit. Both of them are the best players. Rohit and Virat will play cricket for some more time. But why are you saying that it is the last competition of both of them. Virat is only 34 years old and in such a situation he can play cricket for the next 5 years. Whereas Rohit is 36 years old. The media cannot say that both of their cricketing careers are at an end”.
Regarding Australia and England, he said, “In our conditions, Asian teams are much better than these two teams. Because this time the World Cup will be played in India and not in Australia or England. However, because of this, Asian teams have a very good chance of winning the title. Every team has its strong and weak parts. No one can predict the World Cup. All teams do well. However, India has a very good chance of winning the title by playing in home conditions”.
