KL Rahul made a dream comeback by scoring a century at the Premadasa Stadium in Colombo. Rahul completed his century in 100 balls.
KL Rahul, returning from the India vs Pakistan match, has made a dream comeback. In the Asia Cup Super-4 stage match which started after rain in Colombo, Sri Lanka, KL thrashed the Pakistani bowlers thoroughly. Rahul returned to the team and scored a brilliant century in his very first match. Meanwhile, he also showed good and long shots.
In the match which started on Reserve Day after rain in Colombo, KL Rahul waited for some time in the beginning and hit good shots. After this, he accelerated his batting and completed his half-century in 60 balls. After this he completed his century in 100 balls. He played an unbeaten inning of 111 runs in 106 balls with the help of 12 fours and two sixes. KL played its last competitive match in May. After being injured, KL proved himself by making a dream comeback. In this match, Rahul was made a part of the playing 11 after Shreyas got injured.
On the reserve day, both Virat and KL started the game brilliantly and both the players ended the innings with their respective centuries. Virat scored his 77th international century by forming an amazing partnership with KL.
KL becomes the fourth batsman to complete 2000 runs fastest
With his century, KL Rahul has also completed his 2000 runs in ODI cricket. With this, he has become the fourth Indian batsman to cross this milestone fastest. KL has scored these runs in 53 innings. Whereas Shikhar Dhawan is at the first place in completing the fastest 2000 ODI runs. Dhawan did this feat in 48 innings. Apart from this, Navjot Singh Sidhu and Sourav Ganguly are jointly at second position. Both the legends had completed 2000 ODI runs in 52 innings. Apart from this, before KL, Virat had also completed 2000 runs in the same number of innings.

Talking about the ongoing match in Colombo, Virat Kohli (122) and KL Rahul (111) took India to the score of 356 runs with unbeaten centuries.
