India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the second ODI.

Thanks to the strong innings of Shreyas Iyer and Ishan Kishan, India defeated South Africa by 7 wickets in the second ODI and at the same time leveled the 3-match series 1-1. In Ranchi, Iyer and Kishan thrashed the South African bowlers. Iyer meanwhile also scored the second century of his ODI career. Batting first, South Africa gave India a target of 279 runs, in response, the Indian team achieved the target at the loss of 3 wickets.
In reply to the target of 279 runs, India lost both their openers within 48 runs. Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill returned to the pavilion early. After this, Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer made a tremendous partnership and took the score beyond 200 runs. It rained fours and sixes from both ends. After Kishan returned to the pavilion, Iyer got the support of Sanju Samson and both came out of the field only after winning India.
The visiting team was shaken by the Indian bowling
Earlier, Reeza Hendricks and Aidan Markram created a ruckus with the bat for South Africa. The Indian bowlers had a great start and in the form of Quinton de Kock, the visiting team was given the first blow for 7 runs. After this, in the form of sweetheart Malan gave a second blow for 40 runs.
Hendricks and Markram create chaos
After losing 2 wickets, Hendricks and Markram tried to handle the South African innings. Both scored half-centuries and shared a good partnership to take the innings to 169 runs. This partnership was broken by Mohammad Siraj. He sent Hendricks to the pavilion for 74 runs.
Klaasen and Markram out one after the other
After the fall of Henriques’s wicket, Markram, along with Heinrich Klaasen, took the innings beyond 200 runs, but on the score of 215 runs, South Africa got 2 more setbacks in the form of Klaasen and Markram. David Miller took the lead and remained unbeaten on 35 runs. Wayne Parnell scored 16 runs. Siraj took 3 wickets, while Washington Sundar, Shahbaz Ahmed, Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur got one success each.
