New Delhi.The countdown for the Khelo India University Games 2023 has begun. While the players have geared up for this, the organizers have also put their lives into it. The Games are starting on May 25 and Uttar Pradesh is hosting it. This is the third season of Khelo India University Games and about 5 thousand players from all over the country will show their mettle.
It will begin on May 25 in Lucknow and conclude on June 3 in Varanasi. Matches will be played in four cities of UP, Lucknow, Varanasi, Noida and Gorakhpur. However, some events will also be organized in Delhi. Maximum 12 events will be played in Lucknow, including Malkhamb, Judo, Archery, Badminton and Table Tennis, Volleyball, Football, Tennis, Rugby, Athletics and Hockey.

Where will the matches be played
Wrestling and Yoga events will be held in Varanasi. There will be wrestling events from 26 to 29 May and yoga events from 1 to 3 June. Rowing competitions will be played in Gorakhpur from 27 to 31 May. Rowing has been included for the first time in the history of Khelo India. Gorakhpur will also host a national level game for the first time. At the same time, weightlifting, basketball and swimming competitions will be played in Greater Noida. Boxing and Kabaddi matches will be played in Noida.
The 3rd Khelo India University Games are all set to begin.

Delhi shooting events
Due to the shooting range being in Delhi, the shooting matches will be held here. Most of the events will be played in Lucknow. In such a situation, maximum number of players will also come to Lucknow. BBD University has been converted into sports village. Additional Chief Secretary Navneet Sehgal is keeping an eye on this. To help the players, even a control room has been made.
