India took 23 years old revenge by defeating Sri Lanka by 50 runs in the Asia Cup Final. Sri Lanka had bowled out India for 54 runs in the Sharjah Cup.

Where, Sri Lanka had all out India for 54 runs.
In the Sharjah Cup held in the year 2000, Sri Lanka had defeated India for 54 runs. In this match, Sri Lanka, batting first, scored 299 runs in 50 overs. In which captain Sanath Jayasuriya played an inning of 189 runs. Chaminda Vaas’s overs were heavy on the Indian team who came to counter-bat in the match. Vaas had taken five wickets in the match. Due to which the Indian team was all out for 54 runs. In the match, players like Indian legends Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Yuvraj Singh could not even touch double figures.
In the final match of the Asia Cup held at the R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the Indian team took revenge of this 23 years old defeat by defeating Sri Lanka on the minimum score. Mohammad Siraj bowled brilliantly and took four wickets in a single over. Apart from this, he completed the haul of 5 wickets in his first 16 balls.

The Indian team has bowled out Sri Lanka within 100 runs for the second time this year. Earlier in January, the Indian team had all out Sri Lanka for 73 runs in 22 overs. At the same time, this score of 50 runs made by Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup is the lowest score. This is the lowest score of any team in ODI against India. Earlier, the Indian team had all out Bangladesh for 58 runs in Mirpur in the year 2014.
