A BCCI source has told InsideSport that they have decided to extend the date of the review meeting. We have to work on two very important plans before the upcoming World Cup and also have inputs from the CAC and the selectors. Only after doing all this work will Rohit and Dravid talk about how to go about this plan. We don’t have any T20 series for the next 15 days or so. However before that we will have both CAC and selection committee.
He has further informed that the CAC will do the work of shortlisting the applications and after shortlisting the candidates will be called for the interview. Yes, we also know that we do not have the CAC working right now. But we will start it as soon as possible and will announce it soon. We will start both by December and the new selection committee will pick the team for the home series against Sri Lanka and New Zealand.
Let us tell you that BCCI cannot go ahead with the review meeting and selection committee without CAC. So they have extended the date of the date. Captain Rohit Sharma is all set for the upcoming ODI World Cup 2023.
