IND vs ENG Test: Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja will be honored by the Saurashtra Cricket Association. This honor will be given before the India vs England third Test in Rajkot. Both will be honored by the SCA for their achievements both for the state and the country.
Let us tell you that Cheteshwar Pujara is no longer a part of India’s Test setup, while Ravindra Jadeja remains an important part of the team. It was expected that after his brilliant performance in the Ranji Trophy, Pujara would be included in the team for the remaining three matches against England, but he did not get the chance. On the other hand, Jadeja, who could not play the second Test due to injury, is back in the team once again.
SCA President Jaydev Shah said, “We will honor both Cheteshwar Pujara and Ravindra Jadeja during the ceremony for the new name of the stadium.”
Jaidev Shah further said, “I can’t say much on it (Pujara not playing) because it’s the decision of the team management and selectors but we would have been very proud if he was there. It’s not that we aren’t proud now, but we would have been more proud if he had played. He has played more than 100 test matches and not many people in India have managed to do that. It would have been great for him to play in Rajkot but that is part of the game. You don’t get everything you dream of. He has worked very hard. He made Saurashtra very proud.”
