New Delhi.India has beaten Australia 2-1 in the Test series. Now it is the turn of the ODI series, which is starting from March 17. The first match will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai and the Indian team will take the field under the captaincy of Hardik Pandya. For Pandya, this is not just a match, but also a path, which has been shown by Sunil Gavaskar. Former Indian veteran player Gavaskar says that Pandya can become the captain of the ODI team after this year’s World Cup, but he will have to beat Australia in the first ODI to claim it.
In fact, due to family reasons, Rohit will not be able to play the first ODI and Pandya will captain in his absence. The Indian all-rounder made Gujarat Titans the IPL champion in his debut season under his captaincy. He is already leading the Indian team in T20 format.
