Indore: The Australia cricket team defeated the hosts India by nine wickets in the third Test match played at the Holkar Stadium here. To win, the Australian team had to score 76, which it did on Friday, the third day of the match, losing just one wicket in the first session. With this, Australia has kept alive its efforts to save the series. After winning the first two matches, India has kept the Border-Gavaskar trophy with itself. If Australia had lost the third Test match, it would have lost the series as well, but now it has a chance to equalize in the series.
India is ahead 2-1 in the series at this time. The fourth Test match is to be played in Ahmedabad and if Australia wins this match then the series will be equal to 2-2. In the third test match, India got trapped in its own trap. He made a spinner-friendly pitch for this match in which Australia’s spinners, especially Nathan Lyon, trapped India’s batsmen.

play in one session
The second innings of the Indian team was piled on 163 runs on the second day and with this it was also announced to end the day’s play. India had scored 109 runs in their first innings. At the same time, Australia had scored 197 runs in their first innings and took a lead of 88 runs. After this, India finished its second innings after which it gave Australia a target of 76 runs. This target cannot be called easy on this wicket because this wicket is helpful to the spinners and in such a situation India has three excellent spinners. Even in front of Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja and Akshar Patel, however, Australia was not affected by this and easily achieved the target.
Although India had dismissed Usman Khawaja in the first over of the third day and it seemed that it would be heavy on Australia, but Travis Head and Marnus Labuschagne did not allow any more wickets to fall and won their team. Head returned after scoring an unbeaten 49 off 53 balls with the help of six fours and a six. At the same time, Labushen scored an unbeaten 28 off 58 balls.

Australia spinners did wonders
Like Nagpur and Delhi, India had also made this pitch helpful for spinners, but Australian spinner Lion walked on it. This off-spinner took a total of 11 wickets in both the innings. He took three wickets in the first innings. And in the second innings, he played the real game and took eight wickets. In the first innings, Indian batsmen were troubled by Matthew Kuhneman, who made five Indian batsmen their victims. He got only one wicket in the second innings.
Indian batsmen disappointed
One of the major reasons for India’s defeat in this match was the failure of the Indian batsmen. No big batsman could run India in the first innings. The highest scorer of the team was Virat Kohli who scored 22 runs. At the same time, Shubman Gill played an inning of 21 runs. Apart from these two, Umesh Yadav and Shrikar Bharat scored 17 runs each. Rohit Sharma and Akshar Patel scored 12-12 runs.
