The hour of judgment is near. Will the record of the Indian cricket team, which has been running for a decade, be maintained or will it be forced to equalize for the first time? Ahmedabad I will decide it. The fourth and last match of the Test series between India and Australia is starting on Thursday, March 9. India has a chance to win the series, while Australia is looking for a draw after the Indore Test victory. Everyone’s eyes are on what will be the playing XI for this test as speculations and movements are happening regarding some names.
The last Test match played in Indore witnessed a change. The Indian team had dropped KL Rahul in that match, while rested Mohammed Shami. Shubman Gill and Umesh Yadav came in the team. Gill could not perform anything special but Umesh definitely bowled amazingly in the first innings. Both will be seen playing in the next Test as well, its possibility is strong.

Shami’s return
However, there is bound to be a change in bowling and it will be in the pace department. Mohammed Shami’s return is certain after rest in the last test and Mohammed Siraj will make way for him. The reason is simple – Shami and Umesh have tremendous ability to reverse swing with the old ball. Anyway, due to the presence of all three spinners, the pacers have got less chance to bowl, which will continue in Ahmedabad. In such a situation, keeping in mind the ODI series, there is also a chance to give rest to Siraj.
Kohli-Shreyas will drop?
The performance of Gill, Virat Kohli and Shreyas Iyer in batting is a cause of concern. Gill had played only one Test and in such a situation, it is certain that he will get the next Test as well. Kohli’s form is the biggest tension, who has not seemed much bothered while batting but has not been able to score big. Same is the condition of Shreyas and in such a situation there are options like Suryakumar Yadav and Ishan Kishan. However, it does not seem that there will be any change for the last test.

Will Ishan get a chance?
There are also reports that Ishan can be fielded in place of wicketkeeper KS Bharat and the reason for this is believed to be Bharat’s batting, which has not been particularly effective in the innings played so far. But the question is, will Ishan be as successful as Bharat in keeping in front of the spinners? This is the biggest question and in such a situation, Bharat is still the best option.
India’s possible playing XI
Rohit Sharma (captain), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Ravindra Jadeja, KS Bharat (wicketkeeper), R Ashwin, Akshar Patel, Umesh Yadav and Mohammed Shami
