Young star player Rinku Singh, before participating in the Asian Games, expressed hope that there will be a final match between India and Pakistan and India will win the gold medal.
The Indian cricket team will start its journey in the Asian Games to be held in China from October 3. The team captained by Ruturaj Gaikwad will directly participate in the quarterfinal match. Star batsman Rinku Singh, who emerged from IPL, is also included in the team. Before the start of the Asian Games, Rinku has expressed hope that India and Pakistan will clash in the final and the Indian team will return after winning the gold medal.
In an interview given to Times of India, Rinku said, “I hope that there will be a final match between India and Pakistan in the Asian Games. We have a strong team and talented players. Ruturaj is a talented captain as a brother.” Rinku said, “I am looking forward to playing under his leadership and joining the Indian team soon. I am confident that the Indian team will win the gold medal in the Asian Games.”

‘Five sixes changed my life’
Rinku Singh had revived his team in IPL 2023 by hitting five sixes in a single over off Gujarat Titans bowler Yash Dayal, after which his fortunes have changed. Talking about the five sixes, Rinku said, “It took me time to understand what I had done. Those five sixes changed my life. Everyone knows about my background, how much I and my family have struggled and how I reached here. That match and those five sixes have played a big role in my career.”
Cricket matches will start in the Asian Games from 27th September. In which the Indian team will play its first match in the form of Quarterfinal 1 on 3 October. Being ranked number one in Asia, India has got a direct place in the quarterfinals.
