After the ICC ODI World Cup 2023, the Indian Cricket Team is going to get a new coach. Actually, whether Team India won the title of the World Cup to be held in India or not. But the team is certain to get a new coach (Team India Head Coach). At the same time, after the World Cup, Team India’s head coach Rahul Dravid is going to be discharged. Dravid had replaced Ravi Shastri in the year 2021.
A BCCI source has told InsideSport that “It has been a tough journey for him. Rahul likes a settled life and that is why he did not want to do a job in the beginning. He has to manage his family as well as travel with the team on frequent long tours. Even if India wins the World Cup, he will decide his future”.
However, an official of the Board of Control for Cricket in India has said that we will talk to Rahul before or after the upcoming World Cup. However, right now we are only focusing on the victory of the upcoming World Cup 2023 to be held in India. At the same time, a senior BCCI official has told a lot to InsideSport.
A senior BCCI official told InsideSport that “there has been no discussion with Rahul on extension or renewal. The focus of all of us is on the World Cup at the moment. But yes, we will have a discussion with Rahul before the World Cup and prepare a contingency plan around it. So far, we have not got any indication that he does not want to continue”.
