New Delhi: The teams of England and Australia have been fined heavily. Apart from this, the points of his World Test Championship have also been deducted. This action has been taken by ICC, the apex body of cricket on both the teams. It means that after the victory, Australia has already suffered a loss. On the other hand, even after losing, the pain of England has not subsided.
ICC has fined England and Australia for slow over rate. Under the fine, both the teams will have to pay 40 percent of the match fee. Apart from this, 2-2 points will also have to be lost in the points table of WTC.

England- Australia’s 2-2 points deducted
Australia had scored 12 points by winning the first Test match of Ashes 2023 against England. But now after the deduction of 2 marks, only 10 marks will remain. On the other hand, England, which did not score any points after losing the Test match, has now gone from zero to -2.
Fined for slow over rate
By issuing a press release from the ICC, it was told about the fine and points deduction on both the teams. According to the press release, the match referee found that both the teams had not completed their respective quota of overs by the stipulated time. Both the teams were 2 overs behind till the stipulated time. The captains of Australia and England have accepted the matter of slow over rate, so there is no need for further hearing in this matter.
6 lakhs of England and 6.40 lakhs of Australia will be deducted
Please tell that England players get 15 lakh rupees for playing a test. At the same time, the players of the Australian team get Rs 16 lakh for one test. Now according to the 40 percent fine, Rs 6 lakh will be deducted for England while Rs 6 lakh 40 thousand will be deducted for Australian players.
Australia fined earlier too
This is the second time on the tour of England when Australia has become a victim of slow over rate. Earlier, he was fined for the same reason in the WTC final played against India and the match fee was cut by 80 percent.
