New Delhi: In IPL 2023, runs are raining heavily from the bat of Rituraj Gaikwad. His role with the bat has been instrumental in helping Chennai Super Kings reach the playoffs. And now the fight is for the ticket to the final. But to get him, CSK will have to forget its Rituraj Gaikwad. Why would you say so? So the reason behind this is Rituraj’s statistics, which prevented CSK from winning against Gujarat Titans.
Actually, Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings have faced each other 3 times so far. Rituraj Gaikwad has scored a half-century in all these three matches. But, even once his half-century could not work for the team. CSK had to face every time.

3 matches, CSK lost on 3 half-centuries
Rituraj Gaikwad scored 73 off 48 balls against Gujarat Titans in the first encounter in Pune in IPL 2022. There CSK got defeated by 3 wickets. After this, in the second match in Mumbai in the same season, Gaikwad scored 53 runs in 49 balls against Gujarat and CSK lost by 7 wickets. The third clash between the two teams took place in IPL 2023, where Rituraj scored 92 runs in 50 balls but CSK lost the match by 5 wickets.
Forget Rituraj Gaikwad against GT CSK!
In this way, Rituraj Gaikwad scored 218 runs in 3 matches played against Gujarat Titans. But, these runs could not work for the team. In such a situation, when there is a final fight with Gujarat Titans, then it is better for Chennai Super Kings to forget Rituraj Gaikwad. Who knows, CSK’s interest and its victory against Gujarat Titans is linked to his not being able to score.
By the way, this will be Gujarat Titans’ first match in Chennai after making their debut in IPL. Chennai is the home ground of CSK. In such a situation, the advantage will also be with him. And, it is possible that Rituraj’s bat will be able to do that feat at home, which he has failed to do against Gujarat in the outdoor grounds.
